A Cumbrian financial management company is celebrating a new acquisition as it continues to expand its operation across the county and take on more employees.
Financial Management Bureau, in Kendal, has acquired David Hopkinson Independent Financial Advice, in Wigton, and opened a new office in Cockermouth.
Managing director Liz Beavis said the priority for FMB was to maintain a high quality of service for the new clients it has gained as part of the acquisition.
“Our ambition is to continue to grow across Cumbria and the surrounding area and we’re really happy to have established a presence in Cockermouth to serve the north of the county,” said Liz.
“David Hopkinson IFA has been providing clients with a personal service and attention to detail for many years and this makes it a natural fit for FMB, where our team take exactly the same approach.
“We’re looking forward to continuing to work with them all, as well as increasing the number of people we serve in north and West Cumbria.”
Last year FMB – owned by national financial planning and wealth management group Finitor – also acquired Robert Meacock and Company, based in Kendal.
It also added three more qualified financial planners to its team earlier this year.
David Hopkinson, founder of David Hopkinson IFA, said: “When I was considering the future of my business, it was vital to me that my clients continued to get the same level of care that I have given them all these years.
“It is clear that this is just what FMB will be able to provide. Their knowledgeable and experienced team really do go out of their way to look after their clients and the firm’s reputation speaks for itself.
