The Cumbrian branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Burnetts Solicitors are joining forces to host a free Victor Meldrew-inspired grievance masterclass next month.
Ideal for HR professionals and anyone involved in people management, the session will cover all the basics of conducting grievances, as well as some of the most commonly made mistakes and tricky areas.
The free event, led by Burnetts’ head of employment David Gibson, will take place at The Auctioneer in Carlisle from 9.30am until 12pm on Thursday 29th February.
The interactive session will give delegates the legal knowledge and practical skills necessary to confidently manage grievances within their organisation.
David said: “We’re proud that these events are always fun and entertaining but what’s most important to us is that they’re highly informative.
“Managing grievances is probably one of the least popular elements of managing people, so we’re hoping that we can help everyone attending to feel confident and well equipped when they next have to handle a grievance procedure.”
The Cumbria CIPD Grievance Masterclass is free to attend and refreshments will be provided throughout the morning.
