An event to bring Northern leaders together will be held next month.
Realise HR and the Cumbrian Centre for Leadership Performance have joined forces to create the event – which they said was the first of its kind.
As the demand on those in leadership roles becomes greater, Realise HR and the Centre for Leadership Performance have brought together industry-leading experts to help provide practical steps for effective leadership and inspire attendees to unlock the potential of their teams.
The Leadership Summit event which includes both keynote speakers and workshops, aims to bring together business leaders from all sectors to provide practical skills that will help drive engagement and increase productivity in their own workplace.
Keynote speakers include Dr Zoe Billings, partner at Adapt and Evolve Consultancy and Jim Perks CBE, head of future workforce strategy at BAE Systems.
The day will also include a series of workshops including how leaders can adapt their style to engage a diverse team, boosting team well-being and resilience and how to learn from others to raise the leadership game across the region.
Dr Zoe Billings said of the event: “You are not born a leader, it’s something you develop because of your role, your values and your passion.
“It’s an art and carries with it a huge responsibility. I’m delighted to be opening the 2024 Leadership Summit, so we can all support leaders of the future as they build better, stronger, higher-performing teams.”
Claire McLean, founder and CEO at Realise HR, said: “We are passionate about improving working people’s lives to help increase employee morale and wellbeing.
“This event aims to inspire existing and aspiring leaders as well as increase leadership skills across the region, driving company growth and economic development.
“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with the Centre of Leadership Performance creating a one-of-a-kind event for the area and we have teamed up with some of the region’s industry-leading subject matter experts to offer a truly memorable event.
“We can’t wait to meet business leaders on the day and hope that they take with them a wealth of practical, everyday skills back to their own businesses.”
Catherine Eve, executive director of the Centre for Leadership Performance, added: “Working with Claire and the team at Realise to deliver this exciting new event means the Centre for Leadership Performance team are delivering on our mission and tapping into our passion; bringing people together to talk about leadership, to share stories, challenge perceptions, broaden minds and take home ideas and inspiration. We can’t wait!”
The event will be held on April 30 from 9am until 3.15pm at Energus, Lillyhall, near Workington priced at £85 plus VAT per person. Tickets are available at www.realisehr.co.uk
