A north Cumbrian accountancy firm is celebrating its 10th anniversary – and is planning to continue to grow.
The Wigton-based Benson Accountants has moved to new bespoke premises in the town to accommodate its expanding team, under the watchful eye of boss Paul Benson.
In 2014, after 10 years in the industry, Paul was motivated to set up on his own.
Ten years later, his vision to create a skilled team who work together to provide an unrivalled personal service to businesses and individuals has grown so much that he has had to up sticks to a bigger space at Wiza House.
Through the support of family, close friends, and the local community, Benson Accountants are consistently expanding.
The growth of the team over 10 years meant that there was physically no more space left in the old office at Tynedale in Wigton.
Paul said: “We are so grateful to Martyn, Peter and his late wife, Sheila, at Tynedale for being great landlords over the last 10 years. They have supported us no end.
“When we made the decision to move over the beck in to Wiza House, everyone was so supportive, and I’m really proud of the team for adapting and contributing to the move.
“In particular, we’d like to say a huge thanks to DA Harrison and Lattimers for such a great job on the build.”
The team at Bensons, now numbering over 30 people, are so pleased with their new digs that they presented Paul and his wife, Amy, with a gift to say thank you.
The business is very much a family one, with many team members having been here from day one.
Benson Accountants has clients from Wales to Inverurie.
Paul added: “There is no doubt that our specialism lies in farming, land and property-based industries, but we also act for many other businesses in differing sectors, as well as high net-worth individuals.”
The team are looking forward to the future in their new office space, with recruitment and apprenticeship training programs on the horizon, and can’t wait to welcome clients, old and new, to their new space.
