A Cumbrian law firm has made a new appointment.
Thomson Hayton Winkley has appointed Wendy Wharton as head of family law.
After beginning her career serving in the army and working within the military police and legal sectors within the army, Wendy discovered her love of law and went on to qualify as a lawyer in 2005.
With almost 20 years of legal experience, Wendy joins from Blackburn firm, Watson Ramsbottom, and brings a wealth of family law expertise including in matters relating to children, non-molestation and occupations and matrimonial matters such as divorce and finances.
She also has expertise dealing with assisting many families in resolving their family disputes, from relationship breakdowns to the financial difficulties that can follow divorce or separation.
Wendy said: “It excites me to be bringing my vast experience and expertise of working with clients from all parts of the UK to such an established legal practice with a strong reputation.
“Starting a new job and role is like entering unchartered waters. Today, I am ready to navigate through challenges and sail towards building success here.
