A marketing summit to help Cumbrian SMEs thrive will be held next month.

Hosted by MN Consulting, the event at Furness College in Barrow will be held on October 18.

The firm said it was designed to address a gap in the provision of accessible and affordable marketing support, by offering a comprehensive programme covering the essentials of modern marketing, from digital marketing to content creation, social media strategy to planning.

Organiser Mel Newton, owner of MN Consulting, said: “This summit will be a game-changer for local businesses. Many business owners struggle with effectively marketing their business and there’s often a lack of affordable and accessible marketing support.

“Not all businesses can afford to pay for a marketing expert to do their marketing for them. The Marketing Summit Cumbria will provide practical, actionable advice and insights from experts. We don’t want to tell people what they should be doing, we want to show them how to do it.”

Each attendee will leave with a toolkit to help them implement what they’ve learnt, plus an interactive Q&A panel, where attendees can bring their most pressing marketing challenges and get real-time advice from the speakers. Each session is designed to provide practical solutions for business owners.

“We know that every business has its unique challenges,” Mel added. “That’s why our Q&A session is so important. Attendees won’t just be listening to presentations; they’ll be actively engaging with experts who can provide tailored advice for their specific needs.”

In addition to the expert-led sessions and Q&A panel, the summit will provide opportunities for networking and collaboration. Attendees will have the chance to connect with fellow business owners, share experiences, and form relationships that can drive growth and innovation.

Mel added: “We believe in the power of community. This summit is about bringing our business community together, providing them with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed, and ultimately help our region prosper.”
