An executive chauffeuring and transport company has launched in Cumbria.

Electric Executive Cars Cumbria, founded by Neil Schofield in Workington, aims to offer a greener way to travel, whether around the county or beyond.

The company services corporate and private clients looking for a more reliable and eco-friendly way to travel.

Neil also offers a wedding chauffeur service through Electric Wedding Cars Cumbria and is currently going through accreditation with the Sustainable Wedding Alliance.

Neil said: “It’s been a busy couple of months after our new chauffeuring business launched. I have worked in hospitality for over 30 years, and I’ve always been excited about the chauffeuring and executive transport business.

“We pride ourselves on punctuality and discretion, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey. Our exclusive fleet of fully electric white Mercedes-Benz vehicles combines luxury with sustainability, offering state-of-the-art amenities, experience style and comfort while reducing your carbon footprint.”

Since its founding this summer, the firm has been busy with jobs in the entertainment, media, and nuclear industries, and Neil is looking ahead to a prosperous future.

The European Environment Agency report on electric vehicles indicates that the greenhouse gas emissions from electric vehicles are approximately 17% to 30% lower than those from petrol and diesel cars.

Neil moved from Manchester to West Cumbria in 2007 to be with his wife Kate. He added: “I’ve always had a passion for cars, and this gap in the market has allowed me to turn this passion into a reality and a growing business.

“My career in catering and hospitality thus far has always been exciting and insightful. I’ve met and worked for many famous and influential people, including Prince Edward and Princess Sophie, as well as the lords and senior MPs.

“It’s imperative that we all do our part to protect and nurture the environment for future generations.”
