A Cumbrian playground manufacturer has been accredited as an inclusive workplace.
Playdale Playgrounds, in Haverthwaite, South Cumbria, has been accredited Level 2 as a Disability Confident Employer under the UK Government employer scheme.
Playdale Playgrounds has progressed from Level 1 Disability Confident Committed to Level 2, which highlights the company’s continued commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive working environment for all employees, including those with disabilities.
The company has implemented a range of inclusive recruitment practices, support mechanisms, and policies that ensure individuals with disabilities can thrive at every level.
The Government scheme was introduced in 2016 and plays a leading role for businesses and networks to identify employers that demonstrate a fair commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Charlie Willaims, HR advisor at Playdale, said: “We are incredibly proud to have moved from Level 1 to Level 2 in the Disability Confident scheme.
“At Playdale, we believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed, regardless of ability.
“This recognition demonstrates our commitment to becoming a truly inclusive employer for South Cumbria, and we look forward to continuing this journey as we push towards greater diversity and opportunity for all.”
