An event featuring people who have been successful on BBC TV show Dragons’ Den will be held next month.
How to slay the dragons has been organised by Cumbria and North & Western Lancashire’s chambers of commerce.
Denise Gosney will be among the speakers who have appeared on the programme and secured investment to make their entrepreneurial dreams come true.
Denise Gosney owns Razzamataz Theatre Schools, a chain of theatre schools for children between two and 18. In 2007, she went onto Dragons’ Den looking for a £50,000 investment and managed to secure all the money with no haggling.

Also at the event, on November 4, will be Derry Green, who started his business, Secret Garden Glamping, in lockdown as a personal project, his passion then grow and he turned this hobby into a very successful business.
His pitch on Dragons’ Den led to offers from four of them.
Gemma Connelly is the founder of Scoff Paper who claim to make the world’s first edible cards for dogs. When she went to Dragons’ Den with her dog Leo and managed to get two offers and secured her final investment with Sara Davis.
After hearing from the speakers there will an opportunity for people to ask questions to hear top tips and more about behind the scene of Dragons’ Den.
The event will take place at Forrest Hills in Lancaster between 10am and 2pm.
