An innovator in advanced robotic and sensor technology has been awarded a contract worth £3 million to develop a remote inspection support for the nuclear industry.
Cockermouth-based Createc have been awarded the contract by Sellafield Ltd to provide a specialist industrial robot known as a quadruped robotic inspection platform.
The contract runs until July 2026 and will see Createc apply its expertise in robotics to help with inspection work at the Sellafield site.
The company said the project will also bolster Createc’s growing footprint in industrial robotics, reinforcing its reputation as a pioneering leader in the field.
