Maison Sport’s Lake District team

An online booking firm which connects ski enthusiasts with instructors has expanded its Lake District office.

Maison Sport opened its office in Staveley in November 2023.

It said it had tripled its team due to its strong performance and strategic growth in the region.

The recruitment drive has primarily focused on growing sales and customer service teams, it said.

Maison Sport’s year-on-year performance figures report a 62% increase, with gross booking revenue projected to exceed €17 million.

Maison Sport CEO and co-founder, Nick Robinson said: “Our Lake District team has become a cornerstone of our expansion strategy, and we anticipate its growth to over 20 team members within the next year.

“The region’s unique combination of passionate outdoor enthusiasts and skilled professionals makes it an exceptional place for us to build a team.

“This expansion not only reflects Maison Sport’s commitment to investing in local talent but also aligns with our mission to elevate customer experiences and drive innovation in our services.”

Izzy Kenny, CCO of Maison Sport, added: “At Maison Sport, we are proud to invest in local talent as we continue to grow our business internationally. Our latest recruitment drive for our Lake District office highlights our commitment to fostering regional expertise and creating opportunities within the community.

“By expanding our Lake District team, we are not only strengthening our operational capabilities, but also ensuring that our core values of accessibility, personalisation and quality remain at the heart of everything we do.

“This growth allows us to better serve our customers and instructors while cementing the Lake District as a key hub for Maison Sport’s success and future innovation.”

Maison Sport’s current marketplace includes more than 400 resorts in Europe and over 1,300 qualified independent instructors across France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
