
Booths, the family-owned independent Northern food and drink retailer, said it delivered a strong performance over the festive period.
Booths reported record Christmas week sales up 6.7% (following +8.7% in 2023) across its 26 stores and December 23 recorded the biggest ever single day sales at Booths.
It has reported like-for-like retail sales increasing 9.3% in the key thee-week trading period ending January 4 (+8.3% in 2023).

Booths saw like-for-like sales at the butchers counters grow by 16% in December, it said with both fruit and vegetable categories up by more than 10% in the month.
Sales of Christmas cheese were up by 29%, Booths pigs in blankets were up 14%, all hand rolled in house at Booths own manufacturing facility and sales of single malt whiskeys from regional distilleries across the UK rose by over 6%.
Its café business saw sales grow by 17% in December.
