New board member appointed for Cumbria Chamber of Commerce

Melanie Thomson

Cumbria Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new board member.

Melanie Thomson, of David Allen, is a chartered accountant and has worked for the Dalston firm for 11 years, specialising in corporate entities and assisting clients in the day-to-day running of their business, compliance and accounting software.

Melanie moved to Cumbria from Middlesbrough in 1999 to train in the county.

Melanie said: “I want to join the board to give something back to Cumbria and to make a difference in the community.

“I am looking forward to building new relationships and using my skills and experience to make a difference to local businesses. I also want to expand my experience and take on a new challenge.”
