The appointment of three experienced auditors who have worked at some of the world’s leading professional services companies has strengthened an established accountancy firm.

Saint & Co Chartered Accountants ha appointed two new audit managers and an audit senior.

Tom Page and Yasir Saeed have joined the company as managers, and Viraj Naik has been recruited as a senior.

Sophie Graham, the firm’s training partner who specialises in auditing, said: “Welcoming Tom, Yasir and Viraj to the team is a major development for Saint & Co, and they will pass on the vast experience they have gained on to the less experienced, younger students here.

“Appointing three people with such extensive senior experience will benefit the firm significantly, and their appointments will strengthen our audit department for many years to come.”

Tom has relocated to his native Cumbria after working within the large and complex audit department at Deloitte in Manchester.

He said: “What I love most about working at Saint & Co is the variety of accounts you manage, and you get to work closely with a range of clients with full responsibility for the auditing from start to finish.

“I’m excited to develop the relationships with clients and use my experience within tax and auditing to improve the services we offer.”

Yasir also joins the company as an audit manager and brings with him a wealth of experience of working internationally, more recently with global giants PwC.

He completed his accountancy training in Pakistan and moved to the Middle East to develop his career, before moving to England a few years ago.

Yasir said: “What I really like about Saint & Co is that my experience and input is really valued, and there are ongoing training opportunities to allow me to continue to develop my career.

“The work life balance at Saint & Co is far greater than anywhere else I’ve been and that has been of great value to me and my family.”

Also with experience of working at a top firm in the Middle East after completing his studies in India, Viraj moved to England with his wife and son.

Viraj said: “I am very experienced in all things related to audit tasks, with a portfolio of international auditing and working with high net-worth clients, and I’m excited to be working with Saint & Co to keep progressing my career.

“The team at Saint & Co is very supportive and provides a lot of help when needed, and I am really enjoying the work life balance the company promotes and encourages as this means I get to spend quality time with my family out of work.”

All three new recruits are based at Saint & Co’s main office in Carlisle’s Rosehill Industrial Estate.
