A Cumbrian firm has been named graphics company of the year at the Fleet News Awards.
Ast Signs Ltd, based in Penrith, was handed the accolade at the prestigious industry awards, which represent the pinnacle of fleet success, and honour excellence, innovation and quality within the UK’s fleet industry.
The Fleet News Awards are judged by a range of experts from the fleet sector who said: “With a clear net zero plan, Ast impressed the judges with its reduction in lead times, strong warranties and its collaborative approach to customer relationships which includes aligning their corporate policy to their customers. They walk the walk.”
Ast was established by owner Mark Aston in 2002. It is now the only carbon neutral transport branding company in the UK and provides branding services for the fleets, interiors and exteriors of global names in motorsport, haulage and logistics, healthcare and education. It has a base in Warrington too.
Mark said: “To hear the judges say that we ‘walk the walk’ is the highest praise. We’ve worked hard to become genuinely sustainable and not just pay it lip service and as a result we’re now the only carbon neutral transport branding company in the UK.
“We’ve always believed that our speed, innovation, efficiency and creativity have set us apart and it’s amazing to now receive this recognition to reinforce that.”
