Leading Cumbrian accountancy firm Armstrong Watson has been named among the best places to work in a prestigious UK list.
The Carlisle-headquartered firm has made the official Sunday Times list.
This nationwide workplace survey, in partnership with leading employee experience platform, WorkL, honours and celebrates the UK’s top employers.
The list features more than 500 organisations across industries and scale – and highlights the best workplaces for women, the LGBTQIA+ community, disabled employees, ethnic minorities, younger and older workers, as well as those that provide the best wellbeing support.
For the first time, this year’s survey also highlights the Best Places to Work in seven industry sectors: Business & Management Services, Hospitality, Technology, Construction & Building Materials’ Financial Services’ Marketing & Advertising and Non-Profit & Charities.

The Sunday Times partnered with WorkL to deliver fresh insights into what makes a Best Place to Work.
The employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders and academics, accurately monitors employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace.
To achieve a high overall engagement score, an organisation must score well across a six-step framework in areas of reward and recognition, instilling pride, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction.
