
A Cumbrian legal firm has strengthened its team with the appointment of two solicitors to its private client department.
Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors has welcomed Alex McAll and Jennifer Robinson to look after matters related to Wills, probate and inheritance.
The pair bring several years of experience to Cartmell Shepherd, which has seven offices across Cumbria and Northumberland. Alex will be based at the firm’s offices at Rosehill, Carlisle, and Brampton, while Jennifer will work from the Hexham office.

Alex joins Cartmell Shepherd as an Associate Solicitor from Burnetts Solicitors in Carlisle where he worked in the firm’s private client department for three-and-a-half years.
After studying law at Manchester Metropolitan University, he completed his Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Northumbria University before securing a training contract with Wragg Mark-Bell Solicitors in Carlisle, qualifying as a solicitor in 2017.
Originally from Durham, Jennifer spent five years working as a solicitor in Sheffield before recently returning to the North East.
She earned a first class law degree and an LPC Masters from the University of Sunderland before qualifying as a chartered legal executive in 2021 and as a solicitor the following year.
Jennifer joins Cartmell Shepherd from Wake Smith Solicitors in Sheffield where she was part of the firm’s private client department which is listed in the prestigious Legal 500 rankings.
