Simon Rogan’s restaurant group has created a new ecommerce and events partnership role.

Sam Nash, previously events head chef at UMBEL Restaurants, has been promoted to ecommerce & events partnerships executive chef.

The new position was announced following an evolution for Home by Simon Rogan and events programme, and expansion plans for 2026.

Sam joined L’Enclume as sous chef in June 2012, before being appointed head chef of Rogan & Co in November 2019.

After overseeing the opening of Prévost at Haycock Manor Hotel as head chef, he returned in October 2023 to the group as events head chef.

This position has aligned with an expanding events programme encompassing projects in the UK, Norway and Australia.

These include The Parade Ring Restaurant at Royal Ascot, which Simon has overseen for seven years, the six-week L’Enclume residency at Sydney’s Bathers’ Pavilion in 2023 and 2025, the Belmond Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train launched in summer 2025 for which Simon has designed the dining experiences onboard.

For 2026, events will include a return to Royal Ascot for the eighth year and a new dining experience at the Australian Open in January 2026.

Sam’s role will also support the development of Home by Simon Rogan.

Launched in 2020 as a response to lockdown, Home by Simon Rogan offers three-course meals and special menus for seasonal events, including Christmas, new year, and Easter, delivered nationwide.

Everything is prepared by Simon Rogan’s chefs in the Lake District using ingredients from Our Farm and locally sourced suppliers.

In addition to meal boxes, the online shop has grown to include a curated range of handmade condiments, preserves, pickles and small batch essentials made by Our Farm head chef Liam Fitzpatrick using surplus produce from the farm, in addition to seasonal gifting and hampers.

Home by Simon Rogan aims to launch new products and a new range.

Sam said: “I’m so proud to take on this new role within UMBEL Restaurants and am looking forward to pushing the boundaries of our Home by Simon Rogan offering next year.

“After many years working within different areas of the business, I feel well placed to showcase Simon Rogan’s ethos and cooking philosophy at events at home and abroad.”

Simon said: “Sam has been with us for such a long time, so we wanted to reward his talent and hard work. He really understands our vision and will be crucial in executing our expansion plans over the next couple of years.”
