A Carlisle firm has bought the building that houses the city’s Pizza Express.
The three-storey Grade II-listed building on Lowther Street has been bought by Peacock Properties North.
Pizza Express will continue to trade from the building’s basement and ground floor, while the top two floors, which are currently unoccupied, will be converted into four apartments.

Planning permission for the creation of four apartments was granted in 2022 but expired last year.
Carlisle-based Ashwood Design Associates is working with Peacock Properties to submit new plans in the coming weeks.
Peacock Properties North is part of the newly-formed Peacock Group which brings together three businesses owned by Kieron. Engineering company Peacock Precision Services and Peacock Equipment Hire make up the rest of the group.
