A familiar face in Carlisle has taken on a new role at the city’s newest business centre, bringing with her almost four decades of experience at one of the city’s best-known hairdressing salons.
Jenny Richardson, who worked at Boyd Hair & Beauty in Bank Street for 38 years, will be the first person tenants and guests meet in her new position managing the reception at Peacock House.
Carlisle-based Peacock Properties North has transformed the former Royal Bank of Scotland building on Lowther Street into a luxurious business venue consisting of offices, co-working spaces, hot desking spaces, a boardroom and an exclusive private bar all available to rent.
It is due to open on April 17.
In her front of house role, Jenny will oversee the day-to-day management of the reception of the building, welcome tenants and guests and manage telephone enquiries on behalf of businesses.
She said: “I’m very excited to meet and greet people at Peacock House. The business centre will be a fantastic asset to Cumbrian businesses and will provide that extra level of luxury, comfort and space which will make a huge difference to those looking for somewhere modern to work.
“I have made many connections across Carlisle after nearly four decades in a busy hairdressing salon, and I’m aiming at reaching out as far as possible and making sure as many people in the city know about such a fantastic facility on their doorstep.”
Kieron Peacock, managing director of Peacock Properties North, said Jenny’s professionalism and friendliness made her ideal to represent the company, and tenant businesses.
He said: “Jenny’s infectious, positive attitude will provide a genuinely warm experience for everyone who walks through the door of Peacock House.
“She has forged many outstanding links with people throughout Carlisle through her experience at a busy hairdressing salon, and she is a real people person who will make everyone feel instantly at ease.”
