A Cumbrian accountant has been promoted to the position of partner after more than a decade of service.

Saint & Co Chartered Accountants has appointed Tom Scott as a senior member of the firm in recognition of the level of service he provides to clients and his colleagues.

He joined the company in 2015 following the completion of an accounting degree at Northumbria University.

He said: “I have loved every minute of the past 11 years I have been at Saint & Co, and I’m overjoyed to have been made a partner.

“Like most of the partners at the company, I trained and qualified at the firm and this underlines the great support and ongoing career development the firm provides.

“I’m looking forward to assuming the extra responsibilities that comes with the role and helping develop the careers of staff members working within the business, and it’s great to know that I have the trust of my fellow partners to deliver a great service.”

Tom is based at Saint & Co’s Penrith office after initially working out of the company’s Carlisle headquarters, and becomes the firm’s 10th partner.

He joins Ian Thompson and Andrew Liddle as partners based in Penrith.

Ian said: “Since joining Saint & Co, Tom has built a reputation for delivering high-quality accountancy advice and combining technical expertise with a practical, client-focused approach.

“His attention to detail and clear communication is excellent, and he has become an integral member of the Saint & Co team.”

Andrew said: “Saint & Co has always placed a strong emphasis on nurturing talent from within, and promoting Tom to the position of partner is an example of how the firm rewards dedication, professionalism and long-term commitment.

“As partner, Tom will play a big part in shaping the firm’s future while also delivering the best possible service for our clients.”
