A Cumbrian training provider has opened a new centre in the west of the county.
SP Training will start providing its first courses at its Lillyhall Training Centre, near Workington, from next month.
The site will provide transport, logistics and apprenticeship training courses for local businesses and individuals.
Managing director Tony Higgins said: “We’re delighted to be opening our new Lillyhall training centre and becoming part of the West Cumbrian business community.
“Our aim is simple – to bring high-quality training closer to local businesses, helping them develop safe, skilled and confident teams while building strong relationships across the region.”
Chairman Robin Brown said: “Investing in people has always been at the heart of SP Training.
“By opening our Lillyhall centre, we’re making it easier for businesses and learners across West Cumbria to access high-quality training while continuing our commitment to keeping Cumbria connected.”
