Lou Kneath has been announced as the latest speaker for Conference Cumbria 2026.
The event, on Thursday October 1 at the Pencil Factory in Keswick, is organised by Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.
Founder of Cumbrian-based animation studio PLUS3K and creator of the growing global character brand Positively Pigasus, Lou will deliver a session, When Pigs Fly: The Courage to Believe in Impossible Things.
This conference’s theme is Be Bold. Be Courageous and will explore what it takes for organisations and individuals to move forward with confidence in an increasingly fast-changing and uncertain world.
In her talk, Lou will share the story behind transforming an impossible idea into an internationally recognised creative brand, exploring the importance of belief, resilience, instinct and creative courage.
Lou said: “I’m delighted to be speaking at Conference Cumbria 2026. This year’s theme truly speaks to my entrepreneurial soul!
I’m a firm believer in the power of creative courage and that progress rarely comes from playing safe… it comes from being brave enough to back your ideas, trust your instincts and take the leap… and keep on doing it.
Or as Pigasus would say: Believe. Manifest. Repeat!”
Conference Cumbria 2026 will once again bring together hundreds of business leaders, entrepreneurs and decision-makers from across the county for a day focused on inspiration, practical insight and meaningful connections.
Lou joins an exciting line-up that already includes headline speaker Sir Clive Woodward, whose experience in building high-performing teams and leading through change has made him one of the most sought-after speakers in both sport and business.
Lesley Robinson, head of business growth & support at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “Lou’s story is a brilliant example of what can happen when creativity, courage and determination come together. Her session perfectly captures the spirit of this year’s theme, and we’re delighted to welcome her to the Conference Cumbria stage.
“Conference Cumbria continues to grow year on year, and we’re committed to bringing together a diverse range of speakers who inspire fresh thinking and meaningful conversations for Cumbria businesses.”
With ambitions to welcome up to 350 delegates, Conference Cumbria continues to establish itself as one of the region’s flagship business events.
Alongside inspiring keynote sessions, the conference will provide opportunities for networking, collaboration and discussion around the future of business in Cumbria and beyond.
A limited number of sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities and tickets remain available.
