A north Cumbrian engineering firm has announced it will change to a four-day working week.
Tweddle Engineering, based at Kirkbride, near Wigton, will introduce the change from April 29 to help its employees foster a healthy work-life balance.
The firm said it aimed to provide employees with more time for personal pursuits, family, and leisure activities.
Joe Watson, managing director, said: “We are thrilled to introduce this new initiative that prioritises the well-being and satisfaction of our dedicated team.
“At Tweddle Engineering, we recognise the importance of fostering a supportive and flexible work environment that empowers our employees to thrive both personally and professionally.
“The transition to a four-day work week reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting work-life balance and enhancing the overall quality of life for our team members.”
Employees will work four 10-hour days, providing them with an additional day off each week to recharge and pursue personal interests.
